Co-FounderMaster of Landscape Architecture ‘20
Andrew Spears is passionate about trees and making something of them when they leave their roots behind. Largely inspired by YouTubers with a similar passion, he sought out ways this could happen at UVA. Halfway through the MLA program at the UVA School of Architecture, he found some others interested in the same cause. He graduated in May 2020 and is thrilled to still be a part of this mission and amazed at the support it has been offered. When not thinking about trees, he enjoys camping and hiking with his wife, Emily, son Soren, and their two Heelers, Loki and Timber.

Allyson comes to UVA through agriculture, horticulture, and arboriculture. While working in the landscaping industry in Northern Virginia, she constantly ran into red tape or monetary constraints when trying to implement sustainable practices. Her plan is to use design and experience to tackle these issues after graduation. She also hopes to help bridge the gap between LA theory and landscape industry practices, while making some cool woodworking projects!Come talk to Allyson about trees, vegan baking, her Black lab, Luna, and your favorite hiking spot near Charlottesville.
